Park Ji-hoon (박지훈) is a South Korean singer, dancer, and actor born on May 29, 1999, in Masan, South Gyeongsang Province. He started his career in the entertainment industry at a very young age as a child actor, appearing notably in the TV series Jumong and Iljimae. He then studied at the Seoul School of Performing Arts and later at Chung-Ang University.
His career took a major turn in 2017 when he appeared on the second season of Produce 101. He finished in second place and became a member of the group Wanna One. Between 2017 and 2019, the group enjoyed great success in South Korea and internationally. After the group disbanded, Park Ji-hoon embarked on a solo singing career. He released, among other things, O’Clock and 360 in 2019, The W and Message in 2020, My Collection in 2021 and Blank or Black in 2023. In 2026, he continued his musical career with RE.
At the same time, Park Ji-hoon has been gradually building his acting career. In 2020, he played the lead role of Gong Joo-young in the romantic series Love Revolution. The following year, he played Yeo Joon in From Afar, Spring Is Green.
His acting career took a major turn in 2022 with Weak Hero Class 1. In it, he plays Yeon Si-eun, also known as Gray Yeon, a brilliant high school student who uses his intelligence and keen powers of observation to confront school violence. This darker character allows him to showcase a side of himself very different from his image as a singer and becomes one of his most memorable roles.
In 2024, he also plays the lead role in the historical romance drama Love Song for Illusion. He then reunites with Yeon Si-eun in Weak Hero Season 2 in 2025 and appears as a guest on Your Taste.
In 2026, Park Ji-hoon continues his career with The Legend of Kitchen Soldier, a 12-episode series in which he plays the lead character, Kang Seong-jae.
Having gone from child actor to idol and then to leading actor, Park Ji-hoon has built a dual career in music and acting, with Weak Hero as a pivotal stage in his artistic development.
