Born on November 27, 1991, in Ansan, Lee Sang-yi is a South Korean actor and singer known for his versatility, warm energy, and solid stage training. A graduate of the Korea National University of Arts, where he studied alongside future stars such as Kim Go-eun, Park So-dam, and Ahn Eun-jin, he made his debut in a musical Grease in 2014.
For several years, Lee Sang-yi built an impressive career in theater and musicals, notably with Bare, Thrill Me, In the Heights and A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. This experience explains his highly expressive playing, his excellent sense of rhythm, and his singing talent.

After making his television debut in 2017, he appeared in Prison Playbook, When the Camellia Blooms and several supporting roles before achieving his first major success with Once Again in 2020. In 2025, Lee Sang-yi returns to action in Good Boy alongside Park Bo-gum. In 2026, he continued his rise to fame with A Bona Fide Killer and several special guest appearances, as well as Park Bo-gum returning to the show The Village Barber.
