They're good with scissors, but not so good with the local dialect. In the new teaser for « The Village Barber 2 », Park Bo-gum, Lee Sang-yi and Ko Kyung-pyo They finally open their hair salon in Tongyeong… and run into an obstacle they hadn’t anticipated: the locals’ dialect.

To Each His Own Position
For this second season, the trio is getting organized. Fresh out of college, after having passed the national hairdressing exam on her second attempt, Park Bo-gum can now do perms on his own. Lee Sang-yi handles nail care. As for Ko Kyung-pyo, the newest member of the team, he greets customers while learning the ins and outs of the business.
This lineup should bring a new dynamic compared to the first season.

«Sorry, I didn't understand a thing.»
But as soon as the salon opened, things got complicated. The residents of Tongyeong speak the Gyeongsang dialect, known for its strong accent and unique expressions. And the three friends, who are from Seoul and the surrounding area, are having a hard time keeping up.

The teaser shows them at a loss when faced with customers they don't understand. Lee Sang-yi even ends up apologizing for... simply not understanding anything.

A Dialect Quiz
To help them adjust, the show has a little challenge in store for them: a quiz on the Tongyeong dialect. The trio must guess the meanings of local expressions such as «paida,» «ibagu,» and «maengkki.».

A scene that promises to be one of the season's highlights, blending cultural discovery with the simple joy of watching three friends make mistakes in good spirits.
The premise of the show, however, remains the same: to run a real small hair salon, serve the local residents, and build relationships with them. Jisoo from BLACKPINK will also make an appearance as a special guest.
«The Village Barber 2» will air starting in November 2026. Hopefully, Viki will also acquire the rights to this new season and stream it internationally.
