Born on June 11, 1990, in Incheon, Ko Kyung-pyo is a South Korean actor known for his natural talent, his sense of humor, and his ability to take on much darker roles. After making his debut in 2010, he honed his comedic skills in Saturday Night Live Korea before making a name for himself with Potato Star 2013QR3 and Naeil’s Cantabile.
His popularity skyrocketed in 2015 thanks to Reply 1988, where his sensitive portrayal of Sung Sun-woo makes him one of the drama's most endearing characters. He confirms this with Don't Dare to Dream, and then landed her first major leading role in Strongest Deliveryman. Chicago Typewriter and the medical thriller Cross then reveal a more intense side of his playing.
After completing his military service, Ko Kyung-pyo returns with Private Lives, and went on to produce a string of notable projects. In 2022, he moved on from the unique romance of Love in a Contract to the horror world of Connect, while appearing in Seoul Vibe, the military comedy 6/45 and Decision to Leave by Park Chan-wook. This role earned him a nomination at the Blue Dragon Film Awards and a People's Choice Award.
He returns to comedy in 2024 with Frankly Speaking, playing a TV host who can't control what he says. In 2026, he co-stars with’Undercover Miss Hong starring Park Shin-hye, in which he plays Shin Jung-woo, a powerful executive who finds himself facing his former lover, who has infiltrated his company.
Also in 2026, he continued his entertainment work with an appearance in the second season of The Village Barber, set to air on tvN in November, alongside Park Bo-gum and Lee Sang Yi.
