Ryu Hye-young (Ryu Hye-young) is a South Korean actress born on March 28, 1991, in Seoul. A graduate of Konkuk University, she began her career with several film roles before gradually gaining recognition on television.
She appears, in particular, in the movie The Fake in 2013, and then in The Mayor in 2017. On television, she made a name for herself in 2015 with SPY, but it is above all her role as Seong Bo-ra in Reply 1988 which brought her widespread popularity. In it, she plays Deok-sun’s older sister, a character who has become one of the most memorable of her career.
Following this success, she returns in a leading role in Eun Joo's Room in 2018, in which she played Shim Eun-joo. In 2021, she solidified her presence in K-dramas with Law School, in which she plays both Kang Sol A and Kang Dan.
She continues by saying Adults and Kids in 2023, and then joined Gangnam B-Side in 2024 in the supporting role of Seo Ji-su.
The year 2025 marks a major comeback with two leading roles: Park Seok-hee in The Good Man and Bae Mun-jeong in Law and the City. She is also continuing her film career with several projects, including Intern and Assassins scheduled for 2026.
In 2027, Ryu Hye-young is set to appear in Speaking Dead in the role of journalist Cho Min-ji. She has also been announced as part of the cast of Moving Season 2 and the movie Killing Time.
