m Seong-jae (Im Seong-jae) is a South Korean actor born on January 18, 1987. Active on screen since the late 2010s, he has gradually established himself as a character actor, alternating between films, television series, and more occasional appearances.
After several leading roles, he made a name for himself in film in Sunset in My Hometown (2018), then appears in The King's Letters and Start-Up in 2019. He followed that up with Deliver Us from Evil and The Day I Died: Unsolved Case in 2020, then The Book of Fish and Sweet & Sour in 2021. The year 2022 is particularly busy with Emergency Declaration, Hunt, The Policeman’s Lineage and Confidential Assignment 2: International. He then starred in Bogotá: City of the Lost (2024), then Secret: Untold Melody, Nocturnal and The Ugly in 2025. Mission Cross 2 and Land are among his plans for 2026.
On television, he appears in Welcome to Life (2019), Hyena and Hush (2020), and then made a guest appearance in, among others, Vincenzo in 2021. He gained greater visibility by playing Kim Min-sik, a restaurant owner, in Extraordinary Attorney Woo (2022).
In 2023, he launched a series of popular projects: Black Knight, D.P. Season 2, Moving and above all The Worst of Evil, in which he plays Choi Jung-bae. He goes on to star in Hellbound Season 2 and Gangnam B-Side in 2024.
In 2025, he holds key positions in Newtopia and Law and the City, while appearing in When the Stars Gossip and Typhoon Company. In 2026, he played Kang Ro-bin in The WONDERfools. He is also set to reprise his role as Kim Min-sik in the second season of’Extraordinary Attorney Woo.
