Seo Hyun-jin (서현진), born on February 27, 1985, in Seoul, is a South Korean actress and singer. Before becoming one of the most recognizable faces in romantic K-dramas, she made her debut in 2001 as the lead singer of the girl group M.I.L.K. After the group disbanded, she gradually shifted her career toward acting, gaining experience in theater and musicals before moving into television dramas.
His early television roles include Hwang Jin Yi and H.I.T., but it was in the early 2010s that she really began to make a name for herself. She starred in, among others, The Duo, Feast of the Gods and Goddess of Fire, and then landed the title role in the sageuk The King’s Daughter, Soo Baek Hyang. She continues with The Three Musketeers and Let’s Eat 2, where her talent for romantic comedy truly shines.
The real turning point came in 2016 with Another Miss Oh. Her portrayal of Oh Hae-young, a spontaneous and deeply human heroine, earned her widespread popularity and established her as one of the leading actresses in Korean romantic comedies. That same year, she switched genres with the medical drama Dr. Romantic, in which she plays the surgeon Yoon Seo-jung.
She then went on to play leading roles in Temperature of Love, The Beauty Inside and Black Dog. In 2021, You Are My Spring allows him to blend romance and psychological thriller, while Why Her? presents her in a darker light as Oh Soo-jae, a brilliant lawyer with a troubled past.
In 2024, she returns to Netflix with The Trunk, a mystery romance in which she stars alongside Gong Yoo as Noh In-ji, an employee at an agency specializing in contract marriages. She goes on to star in Love Me in 2025 and the thriller Liar, scheduled for 2026.
