Kang Ki-doong (강기둥) is a South Korean actor born on March 25, 1987, on Jeju Island. A graduate of the Korea National University of Arts, where he studied theater, he began his career in 2008 and gradually made a name for himself on television.
He appeared in several dramas starting in the mid-2010s, including Love in the Moonlight, Tomorrow With You, Fight for My Way and Prison Playbook. In 2019, he joined Romance Is a Bonus Book, and then gains even more visibility with The King: Eternal Monarch and above all It's Okay to Not Be Okay, in which he plays Jo Jae-soo.
In 2022, Kang Ki-doong plays Jin Hyung-joon in Reborn Rich and plays Gong Myung-pil in The First Responders, a role he reprises in the second season in 2023. His performance in the first season earned him the Best Supporting Actor award at the 2022 SBS Drama Awards.
He then continues with Crash, Newtopia, Ms. Incognito Incognito and Waiting for Gyeong Do. In 2026, he appears in The WONDERfools as well as in See you tomorrow at the office!.
On the personal front, Kang Ki-doong married his partner—who is not a public figure—in September 2024 at a ceremony held on Jeju Island. In 2026, the actor also announced that they were expecting twins.
Although he has typically played supporting roles, Kang Ki-doong has established himself over the years as a regular face in K-dramas, appearing in romance, comedy, and thriller genres alike.
