Nam Gi-ae (남기애) is a South Korean actress born on September 13, 1961. She studied theater and film at Chung-Ang University and began her career on stage in 1998 before gradually shifting her focus to television and film.
She made her debut in TV dramas in 2015 with All About My Mom and appeared that same year in Oh My Venus. Starting in 2016, she went on to play roles in several popular TV series such as Descendants of the Sun, Another Miss Oh, Monster and W – Two Worlds Apart.
His career began to take off with Suspicious Partner, Mother, Encounter and Confession, where she landed particularly notable supporting roles. In 2020, she played Gong Mi-ja in Flower of Evil, before joining Jirisan, Chimera, The Red Sleeve and Now, We're Breaking Up in 2021.
Nam Gi-ae then continues with Thirty-Nine, Call It Love, The Secret Romantic Guesthouse, King of the Land and My Dearest. In 2024, she appeared notably in Hide and Pyramid Game.
The year 2025 is particularly busy, with Holmes Salon, The First Night with the Duke, The Moon Flows Over the River, Kiss Me for No Reason and Waiting for Gyeong Do. She also appears in See you tomorrow at the office! in 2026.
With a career spanning more than twenty-five years, Nam Gi-ae has established herself as a a familiar face in supporting roles in K-dramas, where she regularly plays mothers, powerful women, and characters in positions of authority.
