The series will return Ahn Bo-hyun playing the role of Jin Yi-soo, the heir to a wealthy family who uses his money and connections as valuable assets in his investigations. Alongside him, Jung Eun-chae joins the cast as Joo Hye-ra, the new chief of the violent crimes unit at the Kangha Police Station.
In this new season, Jin Yi-soo returns as a real policeman after completing his official training at the academy. He is reassigned to the Violent Crimes Unit... but a surprise awaits him: Joo Hye-ra, his iron-fisted former instructor, is appointed new team leader.
A former instructor who already knows Jin Yi-soo
Jung Eun-chae plays Joo Hye-ra, an experienced detective who joins the violent crimes unit.
But her arrival isn’t her first encounter with Jin Yi-soo. Before becoming his colleague, she was his instructor at the police academy. Known for her strictness, she had even earned a reputation among the recruits as a true «demonic instructor.».
Back then, she had made Jin Yi-soo’s life particularly difficult during his training. Now, the tables have turned: the two characters will have to work together in the field as investigative partners.
A new dynamic that promises to create tension, but also a different kind of chemistry for this second season.
A First Teaser
Ahn Bo-hyun reprises his role as Jin Yi-soo, the chaebol heir-turned-police officer who uses his wealth and connections to solve criminal cases. This new season will also introduce a brand-new character played by Jung Eun-chae, who could very well turn the hero’s daily life upside down.
The teaser opens with Jin Yi-soo confidently declaring, «So, shall we begin?» Still accompanied by his colleagues on the Violent Crimes Unit—Park Jun-young (Kang Sang-jun) and Choi Kyung-jin (Kim Shin-bi)—he now seems to have fully integrated into his unit. But his methods remain unchanged. From traveling by private jet to high-speed chases in luxury cars and using a helicopter to track down criminals, Jin Yi-soo continues to use the financial resources at his disposal to advance his investigations.
In a particularly spectacular scene, he declares, «I’m taking the helicopter. I have to track down some serial killer hunters,» before taking off on a new mission.
Jung Eun-chae becomes his new nightmare
The biggest new development this season, however, is the arrival of Joo Hye-ra, played by Jung Eun-chae. As the new head of the violent crimes unit, she is best known as Jin Yi-soo’s former police instructor, renowned for her strictness. The officer even prepares a warm welcome with a red carpet and flowers before discovering, to his astonishment, her true identity.
The teaser briefly showcases the explosive relationship between the two characters. Joo Hye-ra doesn’t hesitate to throw Jin Yi-soo to the ground with a judo hold or to wield her baton with impressive ease. When Jin Yi-soo says, «This is a nightmare,» she coldly replies, «This is reality.»
At the same time, a mysterious threat seems to be targeting the hero personally. A disturbing message warns him: «Detective Jin, let the game begin.» Joo Hye-ra also warns him: «Someone is targeting you and is willing to die to get to you.»
Finally, Yoo Seung-ho makes a brief appearance as the wealthy heir Yoo Sung-won, a new character whose role remains a mystery.
Jung Eun-chae plays this authority figure nicknamed the "Devil Instructor". A former ace of the national anti-terrorist unit, she arrives at the head of the team with her reputation as an inflexible woman. Between her and Jin Yi-soo, the past resurfaces, and their reunion promises sparks.
