Jung Eun-chae (정은채), born Jung Sol-mi on November 24, 1986, in Busan, is a South Korean actress, model, and TV host. She lived in the United Kingdom for several years starting in her teens and studied textile design at Central Saint Martins in London before returning to South Korea to pursue a career in acting.
She began her career as a commercial model and was named CF Model of the Year at the 2011 Asia Model Festival Awards. She adopted the stage name Jung Eun-chae to avoid confusion with actress Park Sol-mi. Her film debut came in 2010 with the fantasy thriller Haunters.
She then alternated between commercial films and arthouse films. In 2013, her leading role in Nobody's Daughter Haewon, directed by Hong Sang-soo, marked an important milestone in his career and earned him several awards and nominations. His subsequent work included, notably, The Fatal Encounter, Hill of Freedom, The King, The Table, The Great Battle and Someone You Loved.
On television, she appears in My Bittersweet Life in 2011 and then in Dr. Frost in 2014. She returned to television in 2018 with Return and above all The Guest, in which she plays Detective Kang Gil-yeong. In 2020, she played Prime Minister Goo Seo-ryung in The King: Eternal Monarch.
She then plays Hyeon-joo in Anna in 2022, and then Choi Kyung-hee in the two seasons of Pachinko. In 2024, she plays the role of Prosecutor Kang So-young in Your Honor and plays Moon Ok-gyeong in Jeongnyeon: A Star Is Born.
In 2026, she landed another leading role in a legal thriller Honor, in which she plays Kang Shin-jae. She is also set to appear in Flex X Cop Season 2 as Ju Hye-ra.
Since 2023, Jung Eun-chae has been working with her own management company, Project Hosoo. She has also ventured into music, releasing a self-titled EP in 2013.
