Lee Hae-young (Lee Hae-young) is a South Korean actor born on September 7, 1970. A graduate of the Seoul Institute of the Arts, he began his career in 1996 and gradually established himself as a supporting actor who has appeared frequently in both film and television.
He appears, in particular, in the following films The Admiral: Roaring Currents, The Accidental Detective, Himalayas and Confidential Assignment. In 2020, he played an important role in More Than Family, before continuing with Kingmaker, Confidential Assignment 2: International, Kill Bok-soon and Black Belt Officer.
On television, Lee Hae-young has played numerous roles as figures of authority, including police officers, politicians, and influential men. He has appeared in, among others, Voice, Saimdang, Diary of Light, The Guest, Psychopath Diary and Different Dreams. In 2020, he joined Stranger 2 as Shin Jae-yong and also appears in The King: Eternal Monarch.
His career took off in the early 2020s. He plays Go Won-pyo in River Where the Moon Rises, then Ko Jin-bok in You Are My Spring. He then appears in The Glory, Bloodhounds, See You in My 19th Life, Vigilante and The Matchmakers. In 2024, he starred in The Whirlwind and Mr. Plankton.
In 2025, he plays Park Dae-yong in Trigger and plays the lead role of Heo Il-do in Buried Hearts. It continues in 2026 with Honor, in which he plays Kwon Jung-hyeon, Hae-il's right-hand man. He has also been announced as part of the cast of The Long Shot Trial for 2027.
