Kang Mi-na (강미나) is a South Korean singer and actress born on December 4, 1999, in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province. However, she grew up on Jeju Island, where her family moved when she was a child. She then attended the School of Performing Arts Seoul, from which she graduated in 2018.
She gained recognition among the general public in 2016 by appearing on the survival show Produce 101. She placed ninth in the finale and joined I.O.I, a temporary group formed with the show’s winners. After her time with I.O.I, she joined Gugudan, a group under Jellyfish Entertainment, and was also a member of its sub-units Gugudan 5959 and Gugudan SeMiNa. Gugudan finally disbanded in 2020.
Alongside her musical career, Kang Mi-na has gradually been building her acting career. After several leading roles, she gained significant visibility with Dokgo Rewind and Tale of a Fairy in 2018. The following year, she appeared in the popular fantasy drama Hotel del Luna, in which she plays Jeong Soo-jeong / Kim Yoo-na.
She continues by saying Summer Guys in 2021, then Moonshine. In 2022, she played one of the leading roles in Minamdang: Case Note, playing Nam Hye-joon, before appearing in the horror anthology Midnight Horror: Six Nights. She then joined the cast of Back to Samdal-ri in 2023 in a supporting role.
In 2025, she played Kang Ji, nicknamed «Dog,» in Twelve and appears in the movie A Medley of Feelings.
In 2026, Kang Mi-na continued her career with two leading roles: Im Na-ri in the thriller If Wishes Could Kill, then Yoon No-ah in See you tomorrow at the office!, confirming her transition from former idol to a career now largely devoted to comedy.
