Lee Jong-suk (이종석; 李鍾碩) is a South Korean actor and model born on September 14, 1989, in Yongin. Before pursuing a career in acting, he made a name for himself as a model by becoming, at just 16 years old, the youngest man to walk the runway at Seoul Collection. A graduate of Konkuk University’s film program, he made his acting debut in 2010 in the drama Prosecutor Princess, before drawing attention thanks to Secret Garden.
His popularity skyrocketed with School 2013, which earned him his first acting award. He quickly cemented his status as a star thanks to the success of I Can Hear Your Voice, Doctor Stranger and Pinocchio, before winning the Daesang at the MBC Drama Awards for her role in the fantasy thriller W. In 2017, he followed that up with While You Were Sleeping, one of his most popular dramas, in which he stars alongside Bae Suzy.
After completing his military service, Lee Jong-suk made a highly anticipated comeback in 2022 with Big Mouth (Big Mouse), in which he plays an ordinary lawyer caught up in a major criminal case. His performance was praised by critics and cemented his status as one of the industry’s most reliable actors. He then went on to star in Law and the City in 2025, then returns to fantasy by joining the highly anticipated adaptation of the webtoon The Remarried Empress in 2026, in the role of Prince Heinrey. His romance I Seop's Romance (Paradise) is also scheduled for release in 2027.
