Kim So-hyun (김소현), born on June 4, 1999, is a South Korean actress who began her career at a very young age before becoming one of the most recognizable figures of her generation in K-dramas. As a child actress, she appeared in numerous popular series, including King of Baking, Kim Tak Goo, Moon Embracing the Sun, Rooftop Prince and Missing You, where she often plays the younger versions of the main heroines.
Starting in 2013, she began landing more prominent roles in The Suspicious Housekeeper, Reset and above all Who Are You: School 2015. In this school drama, she plays the twins Lee Eun-bi and Go Eun-byul, a dual role that marks a turning point in her career.
She then confirms this with Bring It On, Ghost in 2016, then the sageuk The Emperor: Owner of the Mask in 2017. She continues in the romantic vein with Radio Romance before going on to achieve two major successes in 2019: Love Alarm, one of Netflix's first hit Korean romances, and The Tale of Nokdu, in which she plays Dong Dong-joo opposite Jang Dong-yoon.
In 2021, Kim So-hyun returns to historical dramas with River Where the Moon Rises, in which she plays Princess Pyeonggang. She also reprises her role as Kim Jo-jo in Love Alarm 2.
After a brief hiatus, she returns to the spotlight with My Lovely Liar in 2023, in which she plays Mok Sol-hee, a young woman who can detect lies. She then went on to star in the romance Serendipity's Embrace in 2024, followed by the action drama Good Boy in 2025.
In 2026, it is scheduled to appear in Love Doctor in the role of Im Yu-jin. Her career is set to continue in 2027 with White Scandal, where she will play the lead role of Ji Eun-seol alongside Song Kang, her co-star in Love Alarm.
