Kim Tae-ri (Kim Tae-ri), born on April 24, 1990, in South Korea, is a South Korean actress. She began her career as a model in commercials before turning to independent film, appearing notably in short films Moon-young and Lockout in 2015. She enjoyed a spectacular rise to fame starting with her first major film role in Miss (2016) by Park Chan-wook, in which she plays Sook-hee. Her performance earned her several awards for Best New Actress, including at the Blue Dragon Film Awards.
She quickly confirms with 1987: When the Day Comes (2017), and then played the lead role in Little Forest (2018). That same year, she made her true debut as a lead actress on television in Mr. Sunshine, in which she plays Go Ae-shin, a young aristocrat involved in the Korean resistance.
In 2021, she returns to the big screen in the science fiction film Space Sweepers, playing the role of Captain Jang. She goes on to Alienoid (2022), and then reprises his role as Lee Ahn in Alienoid: Return to the Future in 2024.
On television, Kim Tae-ri enjoyed another major success in 2022 with Twenty-Five Twenty-One, in which she plays the fencer Na Hee-do. She then switched gears with the supernatural thriller Revenant (2023), in which she plays Ku San-young, a young woman possessed by a mysterious entity.
In 2024, she plays the title role in Jeongnyeon: A Star Is Born, playing Yun Jeong-nyeon, a young singer determined to join an all-female traditional Korean theater troupe. In 2025, she also provided the voice for Nan-young, the main character in the animated film Lost in Starlight, thus continuing a career marked by a particularly wide range of roles.
