Adapted from a popular webcomic, White Scandal to follow Ji Eun-seol, a former child star whose career fell apart after she took the blame for crimes committed by her older brother.
Refusing to give up on her dream of becoming an actress, she now works as a field manager. Her life is turned upside down when she runs into Dan Yi-hyuk, a hugely famous figure closely tied to the tragedy that turned his life upside down. The two enter into a contractual relationship that will gradually lead them to uncover long-buried truths.
Kim So-hyun is currently in talks to play Ji Eun-seol, while Song Kang could play the role of Dan Yi-hyuk.
On his side, Ryu Hye-young was offered the role of Dan Yoo-jin, the eldest of the grandchildren of the powerful family that owns the NB Group.
A family conflict at the heart of the story
Dan Yoo-jin, who became a prosecutor in the hope of distancing herself from the expectations of her grandfather, the chairman of the conglomerate, also has a complicated relationship with Dan Yi-hyuk, the family's illegitimate child.
Although they are half-brother and half-sister, they both share the same wish: never to become the heirs to the family business.
The screenplay for White Scandal is signed Kim Ga-eun (Call It Love), while the production will be handled by Kim Chul-gyu, best known for Flower of Evil.
