Lee Kwang-soo (이광수), born on July 14, 1985, in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, is a South Korean actor, model, and TV host. He began his career as a model in 2007 before turning to comedy, making his television debut in 2008 in The Scale of Providence.
He is gradually gaining recognition thanks to High Kick Through the Roof! (2009–2010), and then appears in Dong Yi, City Hunter, Bachelor’s Vegetable Store and The Innocent Man. However, his international fame is closely linked to variety shows Running Man, of which he was a regular cast member from 2010 to 2021. His sense of humor and chemistry with the other cast members earned him several awards at the SBS Entertainment Awards.
At the same time, Lee Kwang-soo has been building a particularly diverse acting career. He has appeared in, among other things, It’s Okay, That’s Love (2014), for which he won several acting awards, and then played the role of Jo Seok in the comedy The Sound of Your Heart (2016). After Entourage and an appearance in Hwarang, he plays police officer Yeom Sang-soo in Live (2018).
On the big screen, he has appeared notably in Collective Invention (2015), The Accidental Detective 2 (2018), Inseparable Bros (2019), Sinkhole (2021) and The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure (2022).
He then returns as the headliner for The Killer's Shopping List (2022), and then continues No Way Out: The Roulette (2024), Divorce Insurance, Karma and The Manipulated in 2025. In that film, he plays Baek Do-gyeong. In 2026, he also plays one of the leading roles in Gold Land, that of Park Ho-cheol.
Lee Kwang-soo is thus recognized both for his dramatic and comedic performances and for his long career in television entertainment.
