Private Taxi

Adapted from the webtoon by Lee Mose, Private Taxi follows the story of a rather unusual driver. Unlike ordinary cabs, he only accepts regular customers who have booked their journey in advance. More than just a driver, he becomes a witness to their lives: he plays the songs they want to hear and collects the stories they choose to share for the duration of a journey.

With this original concept, the series promises an intimate atmosphere, where each episode could explore new emotions, between fleeting confidences and memorable encounters.

A rich and varied cast

Headliners include Cha Tae-hyunThe actor, appreciated for his warm, human touch, plays the driver of this unusual cab. He is joined by an impressive cast: Lee Yeon-hee, Joo Jong-hyuk, Im Se-mi, OH MY GIRL's Mimi, Lee Jae-in, Hyun Bong-sik, Kim Do-hyun, Ye Ji-won, Ahn Ji-ho, Im Ha-ryong and Ye Soo-jung.

Each episode, in total 8will feature new passengers, each with their own personal and universal stories. A veritable mosaic of human stories, sometimes funny, sometimes moving.

Music as a common thread

The concept is based on a simple but touching idea: this driver only accepts regular customers, who climb into his car to listen to his music. their favorite songsby sharing their life experiences. In this way, every journey becomes a an intimate encounter between music and emotion.

Behind the scenes, we find the director Jeon Chang-geun (Mystic Pop-up Bar, Artificial City), a specialist in worlds tinged with fantasy and sensitivity. The soundtrack will be provided by Park Sung-il and Han Saemthe musical directors behind Itaewon Class and My Mister, promising an atmosphere as melodious as it is poignant.

Filming began in September 2025, with the series scheduled to air in 2026. More than just a drama, Private Taxi promises to be a an emotional and musical experiencewhere all spectators can find themselves in the stories told in the back seat.

A project that could well combine the nostalgia of nocturnal journeys, the strength of human stories and the universal power of music.
