Summer Vacation

After several years of anticipation, «Summer Vacation» (literal title) is finally set to be released.

«Summer Vacation» follows Kim Ha-yeon, an 18-year-old high school student who seems perfectly ordinary. During her summer vacation, however, she has a mysterious experience before returning to reality.

Cho Yi-hyun plays Kim Ha-yeon, while Jin-young plays Jo Yu-gyeom, a boy her age. Together, they will be at the center of a story that appears to blend teenage romance with fantasy elements.

Above all, the project went through an unusually long process before its release: filming had begun as early as 2022 and was completed in 2023. Since then, its release date had remained uncertain.

Cho Yi-hyun and Jin-young, just seconds away from a kiss

The first two posters choose not to reveal much about the strange experience that awaits Ha-yeon. Instead, they focus on the relationship that will develop between the two teenagers.

In the first photo, Jin-young embraces Cho Yi-hyun in the middle of a field of pink muhly grass. While his character appears particularly close to her, Ha-yeon, for her part, has a much more serious expression, creating a contrast with the gentle setting.

The second poster takes their closeness even further. Yu-gyeom gently holds Ha-yeon’s face in his hands, while their faces are just a few centimeters apart. Everything suggests that a kiss is about to follow.

This romantic atmosphere is accompanied, however, by a line that reminds us that this summer won’t be as ordinary as it seems: «An ordinary summer at 18… an incredibly magical story.»

«Summer Vacation» will be available starting on October 26 on Wavve.
