Unlike typical productions that focus on survival in the face of the undead, We Are the Zombie will take a different direction.
The story takes place in a massive shopping mall that has been placed under quarantine following the outbreak of a mysterious virus. Rather than focusing on battles with zombies, the series will primarily explore the relationships that develop among the survivors, their daily lives, and themes of rebuilding and hope.
D.O. is set to play the role of Kim In-jong, a young man who finds himself trapped in the mall with his friends when the outbreak begins. Accustomed to stringing together odd jobs to make a living, his character hates trouble but has an endearing personality and a quirky sense of humor that should bring a touch of lightheartedness to the story.
