Family tensions are far from easing in « Love on the Menu », the 50-episode drama from KBS2. Get a sneak peek at today’s episode, No. 16, which shows Han Gyu-rim (Hani) facing off once again against her younger sister, Han Gyu-young (Park You-na). But that’s not the only problem facing the characters: a request made by young Han Gyeol seems to put Kim Moo-jin (Ha Seok-jin) in a particularly tricky situation.
«Love on the Menu» continues Kim Moo-jin and Han Gyu-rim, two former lovers who reunite eight years after a painful breakup. Their reconciliation, however, isn’t just about their own story: all around them, family relationships continue to grow more complicated.
The new clips from the episode that aired on September 13 focus precisely on these family ties, featuring several confrontations and reunions.
Hani clearly isn't happy about Park You-na's announcement
The relationship between Han Gyu-rim and her younger sister, Han Gyu-young remains particularly tense.
In the new stills, Gyu-young makes a sudden announcement in front of her sister. The details haven't been revealed yet, but Gyu-rim's reaction leaves little doubt as to how she takes the news: her expression immediately turns cold. Gyu-young doesn't seem to want to calm things down. On the contrary, she keeps provoking her sister, further escalating the tension between them.
These images therefore suggest Another confrontation between Hani and Park You-na, without revealing—at least for now—exactly what Gyu-young has just announced.
Elsewhere, another character also makes an unexpected request, but under very different circumstances.
Han Gyeol's wish throws Ha Seok-jin off balance
Han Gyeol (Yoon Ha-bin) He gradually grew attached to Kim Moo-jin, who cared for him with sincerity and kindness.
This time, the boy decides to confide in her a little wish. Once again, the drama deliberately keeps its plot under wraps. Moo-jin’s reaction, however, is much more complicated than expected. Although he has always looked out for Han Gyeol, he seems unable to give him an immediate answer. His expression reveals conflicting emotions, suggesting that the boy’s request might touch on a particularly sensitive subject.
The new footage finally shows another family reunion: that of Go Yoon-hee (Yoon Yoo-sun) and Han Seok-joong (Ryu Seung-soo).
Although the two characters are divorced, they will run into each other unexpectedly. Yoon-hee even appears with her hands clasped in front of her ex-husband, visibly begging him for something. The reasons behind this request also remain a mystery.
Between the growing conflict between the two sisters, Han Gyeol’s wish, and this reunion between former spouses, the next episode should continue to explore the broken families that Moo-jin and Gyu-rim are gradually trying to bring together around them.
