Biography

Ha Ji-won (Ha Ji-won), whose real name is Jeon Hae-rim, is a South Korean actress born on June 28, 1978, in Boryeong. She is also a model and television host, and is particularly known for her ability to take on roles in action, romance, comedy, historical drama, and horror films.

Discovered while she was still in high school, she went through about a hundred auditions before making her television debut in 1996. She really made a name for herself with School 2 (1999), and then made a name for himself in film with Truth Game, Nightmare, Same here, Phone and the hit comedy Sex Is Zero.

His television career took on a new dimension with Damo (2003), which earned him several awards, and then What Happened in Bali (2004), one of her greatest successes. In 2006, her portrayal of the famous courtesan in Hwang Jini enables him to win the Daesang at the KBS Drama Awards.

After several years in film, she made a major return to television with Secret Garden (2010), in which she plays the stuntwoman Gil Ra-im. She went on to star in The King 2 Hearts (2012), and then reached a new high with Empress Ki (2013–2014), a role that earned him the Daesang at the MBC Drama Awards.

She continues by saying The Time We Were Not in Love (2015), Hospital Ship (2017), Chocolate (2019), Dramaworld 2 (2021) and The Tree Dies Standing (2022). In 2026, she returns with the drama Climax, in the lead role of Chu Sang-a, as well as in films such as Portrait of a Family.

Announcements

In 2013, Ha Ji-won founded her own agency, Haewadal Entertainment, and became the first Korean female star to sign with the prestigious Hollywood agency United Talent Agency.
