Han Sun-hwa (한선화) is a South Korean actress and singer born on October 6, 1990, in Busan. She is also the older sister of Han Seung-woo, a member of the group Victon. Before devoting herself fully to acting, she rose to fame as a member of the girl group Secret, which was active from 2009 to 2016.
She began appearing on television in 2004 on the show Superstar Survival, and then gained popularity after joining the variety show Invincible Youth in 2009. That same year, she made her debut with Secret, a band with which she pursued a singing career for several years.
At the same time, Han Sun-hwa began her acting career with the sitcom More Charming by the Day in 2010. She then went on to play a series of supporting roles in Ad Genius Lee Tae-baek, God’s Gift – 14 Days and Marriage, Not Dating. In 2014, she won the Best New Actress award at the MBC Drama Awards for Rosy Lovers.
After leaving *Secret* in 2016, she began focusing more on comedy. She appeared in Radiant Office, School 2017, 20th Century Boy and Girl and My Husband by Contract, Mr. Oh. In 2019, she played Madame Ko in the thriller Save Me 2, followed by Yoo Yeon-joo in Backstreet Rookie in 2020.
Its popularity is rising sharply thanks to Work Later, Drink Now in 2021, in which she plays Han Ji-yeon, an energetic and eccentric character. She reprises this role in the second season, which aired between 2022 and 2023. She also appears in Undercover and Why Her?.
In 2024, she plays the lead role of Go Eun-ha in the romantic comedy My Sweet Mobster. It continues in 2025 with Divorce Insurance, in which she plays Gu Mi-rae. On the big screen, she has appeared in, among others, Cinema Street, Tomb of the River, Honey Sweet, Pilot and The First Ride.
In 2026, Han Sun-hwa is set to star in the series We Are All Trying Here, in the role of Jang Mi-ran, as well as in the film Judge Girl, in which she plays Jin-hee.
Having successfully transitioned from K-pop to acting, she has made a name for herself through roles that blend comedy, romance, and drama.
