Jang Da-ah and Cha Woo-min could soon find themselves at the center of a rather unusual office romance. According to an exclusive report published on September 16 by MyDaily, the two actors have been cast in the lead roles of « 50 Days of Flirting » (literal title), a new JTBC drama in which a mysterious drink allows the heroine to win over her coworkers' hearts… but only for 50 days.
At this point, JTBC and the agencies representing the two actors have not yet officially confirmed their participation. It is therefore best to remain cautious regarding their casting. If this is confirmed, Jang Da-ah will play Go Dok-hee, a 29-year-old intern working as a sales clerk at the Hongdae branch of Shinsegi Digital.
Far from being the particularly self-assured heroine, Dok-hee is portrayed as a true «icon of misfortune.» Always worried that a new problem will come her way, she is going through a particularly difficult period in her life. That is, until one evening when an encounter completely turns her daily life upside down.

A mysterious drink gives her 50 days to be loved
After drinking heavily to cope with her frustrations, Dok-hee finds herself on a bridge over the Han River. It is there that a mysterious old man approaches her and hands her a strange drink.
Her promise seems almost too good to be true: whoever drinks it will fall in love with her for exactly 50 days. For Dok-hee, this marks the beginning of a period in which her previously rather uneventful life takes a much more eventful turn. Thanks to this potion, she suddenly captures the hearts of her coworkers.
But the countdown has already begun.
Behind its fantastical premise, «50 Days of Flirting» is set to follow a young woman who is still very uncertain as she approaches her thirties—both about her professional future and her love life. The drama will focus in particular on that ambiguous period leading up to a serious relationship and on the question of whether a simple flirtation can truly turn into love.
Cha Woo-min could become his company's «sales king»
Opposite Jang Da-ah, Cha Woo-min is said to have been cast to play Choi Geon-guk, an assistant manager at the same company. The character seems to be almost the exact opposite of Dok-hee.
Handsome, intelligent, competent, and brimming with self-confidence, Geon-guk is particularly cold and demanding in his daily life. He even gives the impression of being so impassive that it would be impossible to draw a single drop of blood from him. His behavior, however, changes completely as soon as a client appears.
He then becomes much more expressive and doesn't hesitate to go over the top to get what he wants. It's clearly an effective strategy, since he's considered the «king of sales,» capable of landing one contract after another.
It remains to be seen how this particularly self-assured man will find himself caught up in Dok-hee’s famous 50 days and, above all, whether the feelings that develop during that time will survive once the effects of the mysterious drink wear off.

The drama is expected to consist of 8 episodes, each about 40 minutes long. Park Yoo-mi and Kim Hye-ri are writing the screenplay.
No air date has been announced yet. The project is currently being promoted as a drama JTBC, while official confirmation of Jang Da-ah and Cha Woo-min's casting is still pending.
