JTBC

JTBC is a South Korean television network founded in 2011 and based in Seoul. As a cable television network and media company, it has gradually established itself as one of the major broadcasters of K-dramas in South Korea, notably alongside tvN and major national networks such as KBS, MBC, and SBS.

JTBC has produced numerous dramas that have been hugely successful in Korea and internationally. Among the best-known are Strong Girl Bong-soon, SKY Castle, Itaewon Class, The World of the Married, Nevertheless, Reborn Rich or even King of the Land. The channel offers a wide variety of genres, ranging from romance and comedy to thrillers, historical dramas, and fantasy series.

As with tvN, JTBC is, first and foremost, a Korean broadcaster : The international rights to its dramas can then be acquired by streaming platforms such as Netflix, Viki, or Disney+, depending on the series and region.

In 2026, despite significant financial difficulties and restructuring, JTBC says it plans to continue its production and broadcasting operations. The network has even announced several K-dramas for 2026 and 2027, demonstrating its commitment to remaining a major player in the industry.
