With three weeks to go before its release, Netflix continues to unveil new previews of « Our Sticky Love«. After the first teaser, this time the platform is spotlighting the series' three main characters: Jung Hae-in, Ha Young, and Heo Sung-tae, confirming that the romance will also be driven by a genuine crime plot.
Set to premiere on August 7, the drama will tell the story of Go Eun-sae (Ha Young), a prosecutor suffering from amnesia who finds herself living under the same roof as Jang Tae-ha (Jung Hae-in), a boxing coach who claims to be her boyfriend.
Two Sides of Jung Hae-in
The new photos reveal the two sides of Jang Tae-ha.
On one hand, he appears smiling and relaxed in his boxing gym. On the other, he’s wearing an impeccable black suit and has a much more serious look on his face, hinting at a much darker past.
Jung Hae-in explains, «Tae-ha is someone who always does his best to protect the person he loves, no matter the circumstances. At the same time, he has a clumsy yet endearing side that makes him so charming.»
The actor also noted that he put particular effort into developing his character: «I tried to portray Tae-ha’s various emotions and attitudes naturally, from his life as a boxer to his time in a criminal organization. After his reunion with Go Eun-sae, I focused on his inner conflicts and everything he’s willing to do to protect her.»
A heroine with amnesia… haunted by her past
The new images also show two sides of Go Eun-sae. Before her accident, she was known as Go Ji-won, an ambitious prosecutor willing to do anything to take down a criminal organization. After losing her memory, she gradually rediscovers her true self thanks to the people around her.
Ha Young says, «After losing her memory, she’s stripped of everything that defined her before and gradually rediscovers her true self. Seeing her grow thanks to the love of Tae-ha and the others, I wanted to cheer her on. Even when she makes mistakes, she’s a character you can’t help but love.»
Opposite them, Heo Sung-tae plays Baek Sang-gil, the leader of the criminal organization that Go Ji-won was pursuing. Convinced he had eliminated the prosecutor, he discovers she is still alive and launches a new manhunt.
The actor describes his character as: «A character whose mere presence heightens the tension of the story.»
The drama will be available on Netflix worldwide on August 7.
