The drama tells the story of 2 clans torn apart by 30 years of grudges. As misunderstandings emerge and truths resurface, wounds open, but so does the possibility of reconciliation. In the midst of this chaos, a romance is born that is anything but simple.

Gong Joo-a (Jin Se-yeon) is a former medical student who chose to follow her passion for fashion despite her mother's overwhelming expectations. After graduating as a doctor, she turns her back on this path and climbs the textile industry ladder one by one, until she joins the Taehan group and becomes team leader... before an incident suddenly threatens her career.

Joo-a's new superior is none other than Yang Hyun-bin (Park Ki-woong), executive director of the fashion division. Brilliant, intuitive and formidable in business, he has never forgotten his first love: a fearless little girl who once protected him, Gong Joo-a. On his return to Korea, their reunion seems like a chance meeting... but then quickly takes on an air of destiny when he discovers that they work for the same company.

Jin Se-yeon plays the role of Gong Joo-ah, the eldest child in the family. Although she obtained her medical degree under pressure from her mother, she refuses to accept a life that is all mapped out for her, and quietly pursues her passion for fashion as a designer. Marked by her parents' constant quarrels, she rejects the very idea of marriage, leaving doubt as to what events might lead her to reconnect with her family.

At the heart of the middle generation, Yoo Ho-jung and Kim Seung-soo play Han Seong-mi and Gong Jeong-han, a married couple faced with the realities of everyday life. Their relationship, made up of joys, conflicts and compromises, is one of the emotional pillars of the drama.

Kim Mi-sook plays Na Seon-hae, the eldest daughter-in-law of the Gong family, who supports the household by raising her grandchildren in place of her busy children. A discreet but essential figure, embodying silent sacrifice and stability.

The second son, Gong Dae-han, is played by Choi Dae-chul. Kind and naive, he has taken on the responsibility of raising his niece Joo-ah and nephew Woo-jae. As he embarks on a new life as a newlywed, an unexpected crisis upsets his fragile equilibrium.

Finally, Kim Sun-bin lends his features to Gong Woo-jae, the youngest of the family. Unlike his sister, he follows their mother's wishes and prepares hard for the national medical exam, determined not to disappoint her. His brotherly relationship with Joo-ah brings a realistic, nuanced dynamic to the story.
