Our Universe will tell the story of 2 young adults related by marriage, who have never really understood each other. But their lives are turned upside down when, after a tragic accident, they have to raise their 20-month-old nephew, Woo Joo (which means "universe" in Korean), together. The series will blend comic situations, heartfelt emotions and budding romance in the sometimes chaotic daily routine of this new family life.

A brother-in-law and sister-in-law, a child, and many misunderstandings

Sun Tae-hyung (Bae In-hyuk) and Woo Hyun-jin (Roh Jeong-eui) are brother- and sister-in-law who are polar opposites. He is a photographer’s assistant who believes in letting go and “going with the flow.” She, on the other hand, is more rigid and often clashes with Tae-hyung, yet finds herself forced to team up with him for an unexpected mission: raising their nephew together. Woo-joo.

Despite profound misunderstandings and a cohabitation that is far from easy, this shared responsibility gradually becomes a catalyst for change. By learning to care for Woo-joo, the two adults unwittingly embark on a journey of personal reconstruction... and perhaps even romantic reconciliation.

At their side, Park Seo-ham embodies Yoon Sung, Woo Hyun-jin's first love, adding a touch of emotional complexity to this already unstable equation.

Between love affairs and complex family ties

Bae In-hyuk plays the role of Sun Tae-hyung, a photographer's assistant with an abrupt character and cold appearance. Behind this shell, however, lies a man with a tender heart and recognized talent, to the point of arousing the jealousy of the main photographer. On his poster, the phrase «You're the child's aunt, nothing more, nothing less» illustrates the strict limits he imposes on himself. But his past, which he has never really overcome, resurfaces when he gets closer to Woo Hyun-jin and reunites with his older brother after sixteen years of separation.

Announcements

Roh Jeong-eui portrays Woo Hyun-jin, a bright young woman about to enter the world of work, who aspires to a simple existence. She has always supported her older sister, the central figure in her life. Her poster poses a meaningful question: «Brother-in-law, are we strangers? Just take good care of the child, please». A sentence that hints at how her life could be turned upside down by sharing the daily life of Sun Tae-hyung and Woo Joo.

Park Seo-ham completes the triangle as Park Yoon-sung, Woo Hyun-jin's first love. Brilliant, seductive and self-assured, he shares with her a university past of feelings never fully acknowledged. Their reunion, this time as colleagues, awakens unfinished emotions. The text on her poster («So he's neither your child nor your boyfriend?») raises the question of the disruptive role he will play in this already fragile relationship.

  1. beautiful series on the life of 2 young people who will take care of a child (their nephew) after the tragic death of the parents, the sister for her and the brother for him, moving and full of tenderness with the hazards of life, the little boy is very endearing and too cute, a must see.

  2. Very nice series. I loved sharing their lives. A special mention to the secondary characters who also make this series funny and moving.

  3. I didn't like this one at all... 😕
Our Universe baits you with a cute baby and a cozy co-parenting setup, but quickly ruins it. The show ignores the family dynamic to focus on an annoying, forced love triangle. The main characters have zero chemistry, and the writing is so frustrating that nothing grabs your attention.

  4. It was boring and without the little Seon Woo-joo it would have been worse. This little boy was entertaining. No chemistry between the leads. I used the fast forward ⏩ to get to the last episode and this from the second one
