The story of «Our Golden Days» continues Lee Ji-hyuk (played by Jung Il-woo), the eldest son in a family that suddenly finds itself unemployed. After voluntarily resigning, Ji Hyuk finds himself having to do manual labor, while his younger brother, Lee Ji-wan (Son Sang-yeon), is laid off, and their younger sister, Lee Soo Bin (Shin Soo-hyun), faces near-unemployment. Their father, Lee Sang-chul (Chun Ho-jin), has just retired, and everyone is trying to find a way to make ends meet in these difficult circumstances. A poignant moment in the teaser shows Ji Hyuk, his eyes heavy with despair, standing on a bridge, whispering, «I don’t want to live like this.» This moment of introspection foreshadows the intense tensions and struggles to come.
