«The Tax Reaper» follows Shin Jae-hyun, an investigator with the National Tax Service who possesses a very special power.

He can see right through people and determine the exact amount of taxes they have evaded. Thanks to this supernatural ability, he takes on cases of tax fraud committed by large corporations, economic elites, and influential figures.

Lee Joon will portray this character, described as a man with a keen sense of justice, exceptionally sound judgment, and unshakable convictions. Through his investigations, Shin Jae-hyun will have to unravel a vast conspiracy involving chaebol families, politicians, and even some members of the tax administration.

Kang Hee-goo will play Yoo Jin-hwan, an influential strategist who wields power in political and economic circles.

Jang Jae-ho will play Shin Woo-hyun, Shin Jae-hyun’s older brother. Having chosen success over his family, he climbed the social ladder by marrying the heiress of a powerful conglomerate.

The character will have to grapple with an inner conflict between his ambition and the guilt stemming from his past.

Min Sung-wook will also join the series as Min Chi-ho, Shin Jae-hyun’s superior at the tax agency and one of his main supporters.

Planned as a short drama, the project will be streamed on the global short-form content platform Lezhin Snack during the second half of the year. Kim Jae-hoon, who previously served as co-director on the Netflix series «Trigger,» has been tapped to direct the project.
