A 2011 remake of the film «Spellbound,» this drama tells the story of Cheon Yeo-ri, an heiress who can see and hear ghosts, and Ma Gang-wook, a passionate prosecutor who fears ghosts more than anything else.

The tvN drama aired its final episode on August 23 and, on that occasion, achieved its highest rating since its premiere with a national viewership rating of 7.9 %, according to Nielsen Korea. This performance also allowed it to finish as the most-watched cable TV show on Sunday, across all categories.
And its success isn't limited to viewership. In Good Data Corporation's latest rankings, «Spooky in Love» remains the 2nd place among the dramas that generated the most buzz this week, following «A Shop for Killers 2.».

I've watched the first two episodes, and I really like them. Thanks for this article—it makes me want to watch *Spooly in Love*.
I finished the drama last night. And the final episode makes up for episodes 7 through 11, which dragged on a bit. I even shed a tear for Min Hwa, whose life can’t have been easy. The couple played by Ma Gang UK and Chen Yeo Ri works mainly because of him (his facial expressions are so funny); she’s a bit one-dimensional.
A great ending, but overall, it's not the K-drama of the year. .
For me, the main focus is Yeo Ri and her 12-year journey living with a mysterious curse. The ghost element plays more of a supporting role, while the story centers on how the curse became her weakness and eventually led her to the Reina Group inheritance.
Her journey to recovery, with Gang Uk’s comfort and support, wasn’t easy, as it involved two different worlds and constant threats to her life. I appreciate how the series explored her struggles from different perspectives.
The ending was beautifully and maturely wrapped up, with Yeo Ri finally feeling the warmth of love again after years of loneliness.
YSJ and PEB really nailed their roles. Kudos to both of them, and hopefully we'll see them together again in another project!
It may not be the best drama of the year, but it's worth watching 💕
I finished it yesterday, and I have mixed feelings about it. I really liked the two main characters—they have such great chemistry. Eun Bin is one of those actresses who manages to capture your attention because her acting is so natural and perfect.
In terms of the set design, it's visually stunning.
The plot is lacking. The first few episodes really pack a punch—you really expect the story to revolve around this curse and this couple—but then it fizzles out around episode 7, and from there it’s just the same old family drama we’ve seen a million times before.
The supporting characters aren't fully developed, which makes it hard to really understand the ins and outs of the story.
The latest episode goes by too fast—we miss out on too much.

But the final episode is a lot of fun—the opening scene is very moving, and since Yeo Ri and Ma make such a cute couple, I still recommend this drama.
It wasn't bad as long as the ghosts were around, but then it got lost in the banality of an overly clichéd plot. We'll see if the final episode saves the day!!
P.S.: Well, no—the last episode didn’t save it at all; it remained flat and predictable. There was potential for something good if they’d kept the fantasy element! I kept hoping the hero would touch the heroine’s hand, but no such luck! Oh well!
I really liked it. The actors are great, and the story is charming. But it's not a show I'd watch again.
