After depicting the turbulent beginnings of the relationship between Yim Si-wan and Seol In-ah, « Love in Disguise »provides a more detailed look at a character who could become particularly important once the investigation begins.". Kim Jung-hyun plays Kim Si-hyun, a lawyer for the Taegang Group who has also been friends with Yoon Yi-jun (Yim Si-wan) since high school.
Sixteen years later, the two men now work at the same company—one as heir and executive director, the other on the legal team. Their long-standing friendship, however, will be put to the test when Yi-jun finds himself suspected of murder.
His friend of 16 years becomes his client
Kim Si-hyun knows the inner workings of Taegang better than most of its employees. Tasked with handling various internal and external issues facing the group, the lawyer stands out for his ability to quickly analyze situations and make decisions with a cool head.
In their professional lives, Yi-jun is now his boss. Privately, however, the habits they’ve developed over their sixteen-year friendship remain the same. The two men spend their time bickering whenever they get together. Behind his apparent indifference, however, Si-hyun understands his friend better than anyone else and quietly looks out for him.
The new images illustrate this closeness. When Yi-jun has to face the investigators, Si-hyun steps in to speak on his behalf and stays by his side, personally making sure he has everything he needs.
This relationship is set to take on an entirely new dimension when Taegang’s heir is named as a suspect in a murder case.
Between Yim Si-wan and Taegang, which one will Kim Jung-hyun choose?
The problem won’t be just a personal one for Si-hyun. The case involving Yi-jun also poses a major risk to Taegang, whose interests he is tasked with defending. The lawyer will therefore find himself in a delicate position: protecting his longtime friend while having to manage a crisis that could shake the entire group to its core.
And «Love in Disguise» seems to deliberately leave viewers in the dark about what he’s really thinking. Si-hyun rarely reveals his feelings—a trait that the new stills highlight through his calm demeanor and particularly attentive gaze. The fact that he has known both Yi-jun for sixteen years and the inner workings of Taegang could thus place him at the center of the mystery surrounding the case.
Meanwhile, someone else will also be trying to uncover the truth. Kang Jae-hee (Seol In-ah), a former member of the special forces, will pose as a man in order to become Yi-jun’s personal secretary and investigate him.
Between the friend who’s trying to find out if Yi-jun is really guilty and the lawyer who might have to choose between his friend and his firm, the suspect is likely to soon find himself surrounded by people whose true intentions aren’t always easy to read.
