Being suspected of murder will clearly not be the only problem for Yim Si-wan in " Love in Disguise ». While Kang Jae-hee (Seol In-ah) infiltrates his inner circle by posing as his personal secretary, Yoon Yi-jun is part of a chaebol family in which everyone is already keeping a close eye on the succession at the Taegang Group.
New images this time showcase the supporting characters of the romantic thriller: on one side, a calculating father and three heirs with differing interests; on the other, a much warmer team of police officers ready to carry out a series of undercover operations to find out if Yi-jun is actually involved in a murder.
An inheritance that is already dividing Yim Si-wan's family
Choi Jin-ho plays Yoon Tae-sik, Yi-jun’s father and chairman of the Taegang Group. A brilliant businessman who is ruthless in business, Tae-sik has built Taegang into one of the country’s leading conglomerates. Now, another question is on his mind: Which of his children should succeed him?
He therefore closely watches the rivalry among his heirs, even at the risk of fueling tensions within his own family.
Hong Eun-hee plays the eldest sister, Yoon Mi-jin. Elegant and warm-hearted, she tends to act as a mediator and tries to maintain harmony when conflicts arise.
Her sister, Yoon Na-jung, played by Park Ah-in, has a radically different personality. Ambitious, she has struggled to find her place in a family where the eldest son and heir enjoys a privileged position. She is particularly wary of her younger brother, Yi-jun, foreshadowing a clash among the three siblings over their respective ambitions.
The murder investigation involving Yi-jun will therefore add to the challenges facing a family where Trust already seems particularly fragile.
Seol In-ah isn't the only one who has to work undercover
Set against this cold and calculating world, «Love in Disguise» features a much more down-to-earth team of investigators. Kim In-kwon plays Park Bong-yi, the head of the special investigation team whose motto could hardly be further removed from danger: «Live a long and trouble-free life.».
Nevertheless, he agrees to let Jae-hee carry out her dangerous undercover mission with Yi-jun and eventually joins the investigation himself. Despite his desire to avoid trouble, Bong-yi is willing to put himself on the line when a member of his team is threatened.
Kim Ki-bang plays Jung Wan-goo, an impulsive police officer who prefers action to deep thought. Always ready to step in when Jae-hee runs into trouble, he, too, will have to go undercover at Taegang Group, but by posing as a cleaning employee.
Finally, Nam Hae-jun plays Kim Seok-jin, an elite police officer who graduated at the top of his class from the Korean National Police University. Calm and responsible, he is one of the colleagues Jae-hee trusts the most.
However, there is another layer to their relationship: Jae-hee has secretly harbored feelings for him for a long time. This revelation adds a new twist to the central romance. Jae-hee actually enters Yi-jun’s life solely to investigate him, even going so far as to disguise herself as a man in order to become his personal secretary. But their closeness could gradually blur the line between her mission and her feelings, especially since the man she already loves is working right alongside her.
Between an heir suspected of murder, a family embroiled in its own battle for succession, and several undercover police officers embedded within the Taegang Group, the circumstances surrounding the two heroes promise to make it considerably more difficult for them to grow closer.
