Netflix is working on a new teen romance titled « No Crushing Allowed«, which will bring together Moon Sang-min, Shin Sia, Lee Min-jae, and Choi Hee-jin. On August 20, the streaming platform officially confirmed the series' production and its lead quartet.
This romantic comedy follows 19-year-old high school students attending two prestigious schools: Jinwol Boys’ High School and Jinwol Girls’ High School. Separated by a single wall, the two schools have long been fierce rivals. But above all, their students must abide by a particularly strict rule: any romantic relationship that is discovered can result in expulsion.
Added to this ban is a mysterious urban legend that «anyone who crosses the wall will pay the price.» This situation, of course, shouldn’t prevent feelings from developing, as several students are about to discover their first love.

Moon Sang-min and Shin Sia: From Rivals to Lovers?
Moon Sang-min will play the role of Lee Chi-won, president of the student council at Jinwol Boys' High School. Excelling in both academics and sports, and possessing an impeccable character, he appears to be the perfect model student.

Opposite him, Shin Sia will perform So Ran, president of the student council at Jinwol Girls' High School. Known for her endearing personality, the young woman has known Chi-won since childhood, but she sees him first and foremost as a rival.

Their relationship is likely to gradually become much harder to define. Behind their competitive spirit, new emotions will begin to emerge—a mix of rivalry, attraction, and the first stirrings of love. It remains to be seen which of the two will be the first to realize that their relationship is changing.
Lee Min-jae and Choi Hee-jin round out the quartet
Lee Min-jae will star in Gong Soo-ho, who also has a love-hate rivalry with Chi-won. For reasons that remain unknown, he will grow closer to So Ran, foreshadowing a more complicated romantic dynamic among the characters.

Choi Hee-jin will play the role of Kim Lizzy, a new student who has transferred to Jinwol Girls' High School. She will also become So Ran's roommate.

Behind the camera, Netflix entrusted the directing to Lee Soo-hyun, already at work on Filing for Love, My Dearest Nemesis and Sh**ting Stars. The screenplay will be credited to Lee Na-eun, screenwriter of Our Beloved Summer and Melo Movie.
Between a forbidden romance, two rival schools, a mysterious legend surrounding the wall that separates them, and childhood friends whose feelings are beginning to change, No Crushing Allowed It aims to revisit the first loves of youth in the style of a romantic comedy.
The series will be available on Netflix, but no release date has been announced yet.
