A surprise reunion that no one saw coming. In Episode 8 of « 100 Days of Deception »100 Days as a Spy,« airing this Sunday, Lee Ga-kyeong and Kim Tae-woong open their eyes… in the same house. This unexpected turn of events could further complicate the spy’s mission, as Tae-woong now has in his possession an item that could betray her.

An Evening of Intimate Conversations
Episode 7 marked a real turning point in their relationship. After work, Ga-kyeong (Kim You-jung) and Tae-woong (Park Jin-young) went out for a drink together. They opened up to each other about their mothers and their pasts—lives that seemed very different at first glance but were actually quite similar.
At the end of that evening, the man who until then had been known as Sato Hideo revealed his Korean name—Kim Tae-woong—to Ga-kyeong for the first time. This revelation was far from trivial for the adopted son of a high-ranking official in the Japanese colonial administration.
A rather awkward wake-up call, to say the least
New stills from Episode 8 show the aftermath of that night. Tae-woong wakes up at Ga-kyeong’s place, half-dressed, with his hair a mess and a cut on his lip. He looks around the empty room.
When Ga-kyeong arrives, the atmosphere immediately becomes awkward. The production promises to reveal the full story of this unpredictable «night,» as well as a scene the next morning featuring Yoo So-ran (Kim Hyun-joo) and Yoo Philip (Lee Moo-saeng), which looks set to be particularly entertaining.
The pawn ticket: a dangerous clue
One detail, however, could turn everything upside down. Tae-woong is holding the pawn ticket that was in the wallet Ga-kyeong stole from him at the very beginning of the series.
Ever since they first met, the A young woman denies being the pickpocket who robbed him. This ticket could very well be the evidence that exposes her lie—and, with it, her cover as a spy.
After that night, a subtle tension develops between them, even in the offices of the General Government where they work every day. At one point, they find themselves so close that they can feel each other’s breath.
The production raises the question that will drive the series from here on out: How long will Ga-kyeong be able to keep up her lies, now that her relationship with Tae-woong is changing?
A Record-Breaking Saturday
The series is in top form for this episode. On October 31, Episode 7 achieved a national audience rating of 7.2 %, its best Saturday rating to date, and remains the most-watched cable program of the day.
Episode 8 of «100 Days of Deception» will air this Sunday, November 1, at 9:10 p.m. (Korean time)—which is 1:10 p.m. in France—on tvN and on Netflix worldwide.
