Park Jin-young (박진영; 朴珍榮), known as Jinyoung, is a South Korean singer, dancer, and actor born on September 22, 1994, in Jinhae. Signed to JYP Entertainment in 2009, he trained in singing, dancing, and acting before making his debut in Dream High 2. He then formed the duo JJ Project with Jay B in 2012, and later joined the group GOT7 in 2014, also contributing to the songwriting and choreography for several tracks.
Alongside his musical career, Jinyoung has been gradually building his acting career. After My Love Eun-dong and The Legend of the Blue Sea, he landed his first major role in He Is Psychometric. He then demonstrated his dramatic talents in When My Love Blooms, The Devil Judge and the first two seasons of Yumi's Cells, in which he plays Yoo Ba-bi.
In film, he has distinguished himself in A Stray Goat and Yaksha: Ruthless Operations, before delivering an intense performance in A Christmas Carol, in which he plays twin brothers. This dual role earned him the Best New Actor award at the 2023 Baeksang Arts Awards.
After completing his military service, he returned in 2025 with The Witch, Our Unwritten Seoul and the movie Hi-Five. In 2026, he played the role of Yeon Tae-seo in the romance Still Shining, then briefly meets up with Yoo Ba-bi in Yumi's Cells 3. He also joins Kim Yoo-jung in 100 Days of Lies, a spy romance set during the Japanese occupation.
Thanks to his sensitivity, discipline, and the diversity of his characters, Park Jin-young has established himself as one of the most versatile artists in the South Korean entertainment industry.
