Jin Sun-kyu (Jin Seon-gyu), born on September 13, 1977, in South Korea, is a South Korean actor who works in film and television.
After appearing in numerous supporting roles, notably in The Good, the Bad, the Weird (2008), Poongsan (2011) and Tunnel (2016), he had a real breakthrough with The Outlaws (2017), in which he plays the criminal Wei Sung-rak. His performance earned him the Blue Dragon Film Award for Best Supporting Actor.
He made his film debut in Dark Figure of Crime (2018) and, above all, the hit comedy Extreme Job (2019), in which he plays Detective Ma. This role earned him the Grand Bell Award for Best Supporting Actor. He then appeared in Space Sweepers (2021), Confidential Assignment 2: International (2022), Count (2023), then Alienoid: Part 2, Amazon Bullseye and Uprising in 2024.
On television, Jin Sun-kyu plays Deok-sung in Kingdom (2019–2020), before taking on particularly notable roles in Through the Darkness and Bargain: The Price to Pay in 2022. In 2023, he appears in Returning: The Demon and plays the role of firefighter Ma Ju-seok in The Uncanny Counter 2.
The year 2025 is particularly busy, with The Witch, Oh My Ghost Customers, Aema, Typhoon Company, Heroes Next Door and The Price of Confession, in which he plays Jang Jeong-gu. In 2026, he plays the lead role of Sato Shinichi in 100 Days of Lies and appears in the movie Husbands in Action. A second season of Bargain, in which he is set to reprise the role of Noh Hyung-soo, has also been announced.
It is married to actress Park Bo-kyung.
