Kim Go-eun (김고은; 金高銀) is a South Korean actress born on July 2, 1991, in Seoul. After living in Beijing for about ten years during her childhood, she returned to Korea to study theater at the Korea National University of Arts. Her unconventional background and natural acting style quickly caught the attention of the film industry.
She made a remarkable debut in 2012 in the film To a Muse (Eungyo), where her portrayal of a high school student earned her numerous awards for Best Newcomer. After a brief hiatus to finish her studies, she reaffirmed her talent in film with Monster, Coin Locker Girl, Memories of the Sword, Canola, Tune in for Love, followed by critical acclaim Exhuma and Love in the Big City.
In 2016, Kim Go-eun made her television debut in Cheese in the Trap, before achieving immense popularity thanks to the global phenomenon Goblin, where her role as Ji Eun-tak left a lasting impression on K-drama fans.
