Huh Joon-ho (Heo Jun-ho), also romanized as Heo Joon-ho or Hur Joon-ho, is a South Korean actor born on April 14, 1964, in Seoul. The son of actor Heo Jang-kang, he studied at the Seoul Institute of the Arts before beginning his career in theater, then in film and television, in the 1980s.
He appeared in numerous films during the 1990s, including White Badge (1992), The Terrorist (1995) and To Petal (1996). He then distinguished himself in Libera Me (2000), Volcano High (2001) and, above all, Silmido (2003), in which his portrayal of Sergeant Jo Dong-il earned him the Best Supporting Actor award at the Grand Bell Awards. He went on to star in The Restless (2006), Moss (2010), Default (2018), Forbidden Dream (2019) and Innocence (2020).
In 2021, he played Rim Young-soo in Escape from Mogadishu. His performance earned him the Blue Dragon Film Award and the Buil Film Award for Best Supporting Actor. He then appeared in Dr. Cheon and the Lost Talisman and Noryang: Deadly Sea in 2023, then Dark Nuns in 2025.
On television, he has appeared in, among other shows, All In (2003), Jumong (2006), A Beautiful Mind (2016), The Emperor: Owner of the Mask (2017) and Come and Hug Me (2018). He plays Ahn Hyun in Kingdom and Kingdom: Season 2, and then plays key roles in Designated Survivor: 60 Days, Missing: The Other Side, Snowdrop, Why Her? and The Hunt Is in Their Blood.
In 2025, he played leading roles in Buried Hearts and Mercy for None. In 2026, he played Kim Su-hun in The Boy in the Back Row and also appears in Delusion. He has been announced as part of the cast of Soul for 2027.
