Kim Mu-yeol (Kim Mu-yeol), born May 22, 1982, in Seoul, is a South Korean actor. He studied performing arts at Sungkyunkwan University and began his career on stage in the early 2000s, notably in musicals. He gained attention in Thrill Me, Spring Awakening, The Three Musketeers and Guys and Dolls. His performance in Spring Awakening earned him the Best Actor award at the Korea Musical Awards in 2009.
In the film industry, he is gaining visibility with War of the Arrows in 2011, and then To a Muse in 2012. After completing his military service, he returned with Northern Limit Line in 2015. He then went on to star in several notable films, including Forgotten in 2017, The Gangster, the Cop, the Devil in 2019, Honest Candidate in 2020, The Devil's Deal in 2023 and The Roundup: Punishment in 2024, in which he plays Baek Chang-gi. In 2025, he plays Ryu in The Old Woman with the Knife.
On television, he plays leading roles in My Beautiful Bride, Bad Guys: Vile City, Juvenile Justice, Grid and Trolley. In Juvenile Justice, he plays Judge Cha Tae-joo. He then joins the world of Sweet Home in Seasons 2 and 3, playing Kim Young-hoo, and then appears in High Cookie, No Way Out: The Roulette and Queen Woo.
In 2026, he played the lead role of Na Hwa-jin in Let that be a lesson to you!. It is also announced in Knock Off, where he is set to appear as prosecutor Baek Jong-min, as well as in the projects Granny and Peoseuteu Dakteo.
