After a first teaser was released this summer, " 100 Days of Deception " is taking shape a little more. tvN's new historical drama has just released its first official stills featuring Kim Yoo-jung, Park Jin-young, Kim Hyun-joo, Lee Moo-saeng, and Jin Sun-kyu, just a few weeks before its premiere.
Expected starting on October 10 Airing on tvN and Netflix internationally, the series is set during the Japanese occupation of Korea and will follow a 100-day covert mission in the heart of Gyeongseong, now known as Seoul. Espionage, hidden identities, and a tense romance will be at the heart of the plot.
Kim Yoo-jung Goes Undercover in the General Government
Kim Yoo-jung plays the role of Lee Ga-gyeong, known as the best pickpocket in Gyeongseong.

Her mission is particularly risky: to infiltrate the Japanese General Government of Korea by posing as an apprentice interpreter. In the new footage, her curious gaze peeks over the shoulders of the police officers standing on a train platform, as if she were already observing a situation she is trying to understand or exploit.
It is in this context that Kim Tae-woong, played by Park Jin-young. Also known by his Japanese name, Sato Hideo, he has just been appointed as an interpreter for the General Government. He is also the adopted son of the Inspector General of Korea, one of the highest-ranking officials in the colonial administration.

The first photos show his arrival at Gyeongseong Station under tight security and in a much more formal atmosphere. Everything seems to set the two characters in stark contrast: Lee Ga-gyeong operates behind the scenes, while Kim Tae-woong moves directly at the heart of colonial power.
Their meeting, however, should quickly put them on a shared path.
A relationship caught between secrets, power, and resistance
The drama won't be limited to this spy romance.
Kim Hyun-joo She plays Yoo So-ran, a woman who returns to Korea after more than 10 years away, driven both by a desire for Joseon’s independence and by a personal vendetta. The new images show her looking more composed, but her expression reveals a very clear determination.

She also finds Yoo Philip, played by Lee Moo-saeng, his assistant and traveling companion.

On his side, Jin Sun-kyu plays Sato Shinichi, one of the most powerful men in the Japanese General Government of Korea. His mere presence is enough to change the atmosphere around him, which already hints at the influence he will have on the plot.

These new stills further reinforce what the first teaser already hinted at: each character is pursuing their own goals, but their paths will eventually cross in a world where alliances can be just as dangerous as lies.
With Kim Yoo-jung and Park Jin-young at the center of a romance tied to a covert mission, the drama is expected to focus as much on political tension as on the feelings that develop between two characters on sides that, at first glance, seem incompatible.
Directed by Yoo In-shik, known for «Extraordinary Attorney Woo» and the «Dr. Romantic» series, «100 Days of Deception» will air starting October 10 at 9:10 p.m. KST on tvN. The series has also been announced on Netflix.
