Jo Bo-ah (Jo Bo-ah), born Jo Bo-yoon on August 22, 1991, in Daejeon, is a South Korean actress. A graduate of Sungkyunkwan University with a degree in performing arts, she made her television debut in 2011 and quickly went on to land more prominent roles.
She first gained attention in 2012 with Shut Up: Flower Boy Band and The King's Doctor. She continues with Surplus Princess (2014), Missing Noir M and All About My Mom (2015), then Monster and Sweet Stranger and Me (2016). In 2017, she starred in Temperature of Love, before moving on to Goodbye to Goodbye and My Strange Hero in 2018.
Its international popularity increased significantly in 2020 thanks to Forest and above all Tale of the Nine Tailed, in which she plays Nam Ji-ah alongside Lee Dong-wook. She briefly reprises this role in Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 in 2023. In the meantime, she plays the role of military prosecutor Cha Woo-in in Military Prosecutor Doberman (2022), followed by Lee Hong-jo's role in the fantasy romance Destined With You (2023).
In 2025, she’s back with several projects: Dear Hongrang, in which she plays Sim Jae-i, as well as appearances in Divorce Insurance and Cashero. It is also announced in Knock Off and its second season, in which she plays the lead role of Song Hye-jeong, though the release date has not yet been set. In November 2025, she announced that she was expecting her first child.
Her filmography is shorter: she notably plays the lead role in the thriller Innocent Thing in 2014.
