Kim Min-kyu (Kim Min-gyu), also spelled Kim Min-gue, is a South Korean actor and model born on December 25, 1994. He began his career in 2013 with a small role in the series Monstar, before going on to play several supporting roles on television and in films.
He is gradually making a name for himself thanks to Signal (2016), Because This Is My First Life (2017) and The Rich Son (2018). In 2019, he landed one of his first leading roles in Perfume, and then gained even more prominence with the historical drama Queen: Love and War, in which he plays King Lee Kyung.
His international popularity is growing with Backstreet Rookie (2020), then Snowdrop (2021–2022), in which he plays the North Korean agent Joo Gyeok-chan. In 2022, his role as Cha Sung-hoon, a particularly charismatic secretary in the romantic comedy Business Proposal, which has greatly contributed to raising his profile. He goes on to play a dual leading role in The Heavenly Idol in 2023.
After this period, Kim Min-kyu appears in The Fabulous (2022), Maestra (2023) and plays the role of Crown Prince Do Seong in the historical drama The Crown Prince Has Disappeared (2024). In 2025, he plays Cha Jin-uk in Bitch x Rich Season 2 and returns to a leading role alongside Ryu Bo-hyeon in Love, Take Two. He has also appeared in several web series, entertainment shows, and fashion programs.
In addition to his acting career, he has dabbled in music, notably by recording the following songs: Drawing Paper and Answer. He also exhibited works in 2022 at the exhibition My Art, Your Art, organized with the artist M.Chat. In 2022, he received the’rising star at the Brand of the Year Awards.
