Billed as a legal and family comedy-drama, Divorce Investigator Hong Mal Geum The series will follow a mother of three whose life is turned upside down after her husband's infidelity and their divorce.
Determined to protect her children and rebuild her life, she became an investigator for the family court. Her job is to conduct investigations at the request of judges in cases involving divorce, child custody, adoption, child abuse, and juvenile delinquency.
As she works on each case, she will seek to uncover the truth while helping families find a resolution to their conflicts. The drama is inspired by real cases handled by investigators at family courts in Korea.
Lee Bo-young was offered the role of Hong Mal Geum, a detective with a remarkable eye for detail and exceptionally keen intuition. After divorcing the man she «wanted to kill,» she is raising her three children on her own while fearlessly facing the challenges of her new daily life.
