Kang Tae-oh (강태오), whose real name is Kim Yoon-hwan (김윤환), is a South Korean actor and singer born on June 20, 1994, in Incheon. He began his career in 2013 as a member of the acting group 5urprise, made up of young artists trained in both acting and music.
After several supporting roles in TV series such as Miss Korea, Flower of Queen and 20s, he began to attract attention thanks to You're Too Much (2017), which earned him the Rising Star Award. He continues to make progress with dramas Shorts, That Man Oh Soo and above all The Tale of Nokdu (2019), in which he plays the prince Yi Gang (the future King Injo), demonstrating his potential in historical roles.
In 2019, he also played one of the lead roles in the Netflix series My First First Love, before winning over the audience in Run On (2020), in which he plays the young artist Lee Young-hwa, then in Doom at Your Service (2021).
The breakthrough came in 2022 with Extraordinary Attorney Woo, a huge international hit. Kang Tae-oh stars in it as Lee Jun-ho, an employee at the Hanbada law firm and the love interest of attorney Woo Young-woo.
Returning to the screen in 2025, he plays the lead role in The Potato Research Center, in which he plays So Baek-ho. That same year, he also starred in the historical drama The Moon Flows Over the River, in which he plays the crown prince Yi Gang, and makes a special appearance in Let's Go to the Moon.
He has also been confirmed to reprise his iconic role as Lee Jun-ho in Extraordinary Attorney Woo – Season 2, one of the most anticipated Korean dramas.
