The series follows an insurance fraud investigator assigned to solve a disturbing case: several people are believed to have died after falling in love with a bewitchingly beautiful woman. Convinced that she is at the heart of the case, he embarks on an obsessive investigation to uncover the truth.

Han Seol-ah is the auction director at Royal Auction, the country's largest auction house. In his relentless pursuit of those who exploit human life for financial gain, an anonymous phone call disrupts his daily routine and leads him directly to Han Seol-ah.
