Villains is an eight-episode action-crime series. The story takes place in a dark world where several criminals clash over an extremely sophisticated counterfeit currency known as the «superdollar.» This counterfeit currency becomes the focus of violent struggles, betrayals, and confrontations among characters willing to do anything to gain the upper hand.

The series features several prominent figures in the criminal underworld, including J, Jang Joong-hyeok, Cha Ki-tae, and Han Soo-hyun. Each pursues their own interests, leading to fragile alliances and constant rivalries. The plot therefore relies less on a traditional hero than on the clash between morally ambiguous characters, all of whom are involved in dangerous activities.

Starring Yoo Ji-tae, Kwak Do-won, Lee Beom-soo, and Lee Min-jung, among others, the series features a tense and brutal atmosphere centered on organized crime, money, and mistrust. As the episodes unfold, the various protagonists find themselves caught up in a power struggle where plot twists and conflicts become increasingly intense.

The production of Villains experienced several delays before its release. Originally scheduled for an earlier release, the series ultimately premiered on TVING between December 2025 and January 2026. It was also made available on certain international platforms.
