Yim Si-wan may be the suspect who Seol In-ah must monitor in « Love in Disguise », but their investigation could quickly take a much more personal turn. tvN has just released the first poster for this romance-thriller, in which the two characters appear handcuffed to one another. One detail, however, turns this forced proximity on its head: the tagline already accuses them of an entirely different «crime»—that of making each other’s hearts beat faster.
Based on the webtoon and web novel «Why Don’t You Know She’s a Woman?» (literal title), «Love in Disguise» will blend mystery, undercover missions, and romance, centered on a duo who, at first, have no reason to trust each other.

Yim Si-wan plays Yoon Yi-jun, the third-generation heir to one of Korea’s most powerful conglomerates. Arrogant and privileged, his life is turned upside down when he becomes a suspect in a murder case. Facing him is, Seol In-ah Kang Jae-hee plays an investigator and former special forces member tasked with uncovering the truth about the case.
To get as close as possible to her suspect, she'll adopt a particularly effective cover story: become his personal secretary.
Seol In-ah has to investigate Yim Si-wan… very closely
The first poster directly plays on this situation. Yoon Yi-jun and Kang Jae-hee appear side by side, their wrists bound together by a pair of handcuffs. Yet neither of them seems particularly concerned about the situation.
The contrast between their relaxed expressions and the handcuffs hints at the dynamic the drama intends to establish between them: Jae-hee is supposed to be investigating Yi-jun, but their forced proximity could gradually blur the line between suspect and investigator.
Because once she becomes his secretary, Jae-hee won’t be able to simply watch him from a distance. She’ll have to stay close to him while hiding her true identity and the reasons why she’s wormed her way into his life. The situation is all the more dangerous because feelings seem bound to get in the way.

«Guilty of making my heart beat»
The slogan on the poster cleverly subverts the language of the investigation to hint at romance: «You're to blame. To blame for making my heart beat.»
A line that gives a double meaning to the handcuffs connecting Yim Si-wan and Seol In-ah. Yi-jun is officially the one suspected of a crime, while Jae-hee is supposed to be looking for evidence against him. But as they grow closer, The person she is watching might become the one she finds hardest to let go of..
This first poster rounds out the information already known about the drama. «Love in Disguise» won’t focus solely on the question of whether its heir is innocent or guilty: Jae-hee’s undercover mission is also expected to spark a romance in which each character will have reasons to hide part of the truth from the other.
«Love in Disguise» will premiere on October 19 at 8:50 p.m. KST on tvN and on Prime Video worldwide.
