A salary that's almost impossible to turn down, but working conditions that could cost far more than just a few hours of sleep. Netflix has set the October 30 the release of « Dead-End Job », his new series starring Lee Jae-wook, Go Min-si, Kim Min-ha and Lee Hee-jun.

To accompany this announcement, a first teaser and a poster were unveiled. And to say the least, Lee Jae-wook’s character seems to quickly discover why these mysterious jobs pay so well.

50 times the minimum wage, but a danger that grows with every mission

«Dead-End Job» will follow Hyuk-joon, played by Lee Jae-wook, a young man overwhelmed by debt who eventually walks through the doors of a strange employment agency.

The company offers «golden part-time jobs» with a particularly enticing promise: an hourly wage starting at 50 times the minimum wage. For Hyuk-joon, who is desperately seeking a solution to his financial problems, the offer seems hard to refuse. He will soon realize, however, that this exceptional pay hides missions that are anything but ordinary.

The poster immediately sets the tone. Lee Jae-wook appears in the middle of a completely ravaged room, covered in blood and visibly exhausted, while furniture and objects are scattered around him. A question accompanies this chaotic scene: «50 times the guaranteed minimum wage. Will you take this golden side job?»

The teaser shows exactly how Hyuk-joon gets caught up in this spiral. As he turns to this agency as a last resort to deal with his debts, his first assignments lead him into increasingly unsettling situations. In particular, while visiting a convenience store in the middle of the night, he finds himself attacked by a swarm of moths. He also encounters a suspicious-looking clown, as strange phenomena pile up around him.

The longer Lee Jae-wook survives, the higher his salary gets

However, the trap of these jobs isn't just that they're dangerous. Every time Hyuk-joon manages to complete a mission, his daily pay increases. The longer he survives, the harder it becomes, financially speaking, to resist the temptation to go back to work.

The young man thus finds himself caught up in a particularly dangerous cycle: taking on increasingly risky missions to earn ever-larger sums of money.

The teaser plays on this contrast between the promise of an exceptional salary and workplaces that feel more like nightmares than mere part-time jobs. Hyuk-joon will now have to find a way to survive missions that could directly endanger his life.

Alongside Lee Jae-wook, «Dead-End Job» will also feature Go Min-si, Kim Min-ha, and Lee Hee-joon, even though the information provided with this initial announcement does not yet go into detail about the characters.

Above all, one question remains: How far will Hyuk-joon be willing to go to pay off his debts when each new paycheck requires him to risk his life even more?

«Dead-End Job» will be available on October 30, in its entirety and exclusively on Netflix.
